Our Commitment
DHKN is committed to making a positive contribution to our communities through active involvement with local organisations and charities.
At DHKN we are very aware of our Corporate Social Responsibility. Our staff give their time and commitment freely to a number of charities and sporting organisations throughout the year. Please see below some of what DHKN staff were involved in the past while.
Western Alzheimers Coffee Morning
We recently held a coffee morning with special guests from the Galway Hurling Team which raised €1,200 for Western Alzheimers.
Pieta House
DHKN Mini Marathon Team who raised €2,000 for such a worthy cause “Pieta House”.
By getting our staff involved in fun events like this, we were able to raise vital funds for a fantastic organisation.
COPE’s Sleep Out – Coffee Morning
DHKN organised a coffee morning and raised over €1,000 for much needed funds for COPE to support and make a real and positive difference in the lives of individuals and families in Galway who are homeless or risk of becoming homeless.
Annual "Shake a Bucket" Day for Special Olympics Ireland (S.O.I.)
We regularly raise between €3,500 to €5,000 on this designated "Shake a Bucket" day for S.O.I.
Galway Bay Swim & Marathon Cycles
From Partner level across the firm our staff are keenly aware of the many competing good causes and charities. As you can see from the picture above where one of our Partners Stephen Crowley participated in the Etape Connemara Cycle fundraiser in aid of Croi.
Proinsias Kitt and Mark Gibbs did a Dual Fundraiser for Cancer Care West in aid of Inis Aoibhinn House. Proinsias cycled with a troop of 40 cyclists from Donegal to Galway, while Mark took part in the Bay Swim from Clare to Galway where together they raised circa €15,000 for the cause.
Sports and local sponsorship
Where possible we support many clubs and societies in their efforts developing and enhancing their facilities where they can continue to offer excellent opportunities within their own communities.
DHKN are proud to have been associated with and main sponsors of the Caltra All Ireland Senior Football Club Champions of 2004.
